Topic 1: Bridging the Gap Between Education and Employability for PwDs*
 

This panel discussion focuses on the challenges faced by Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in transitioning from education to employment. Our experts will share actionable strategies to provide PwDs with a competitive advantage in the workplace, inclusive education models, and corporate initiatives to ensure a seamless transition from education to employment.

Mr. Anant Vaish is a computer science engineer, an entrepreneur, a PWD activist, an application security analyst in a MNC, and a TEDx speaker. He is a specially abled person with orthographosis multiplex congenita syndrome where his muscles and bones are bit weak. But he never taken this on his mentally but always made his weakness into his strength. From his childhood, he always want to become computer engineer and he became with lot of hardwork. He has over 2 years of experience in corporate world. He is very enthusiastic about technology, so he started educating people through social media. Currently he has more than 50k+ followers including all platforms. His startup EUPHELITY PVT LTD had created a product called "THE SPECIAL SCHOOL" which is solving the education problems of many specially abled students. He got 1 international, 2 national and 4 times state award. Also recognised by multiple organisations.

Relevant experience details - Bhuvaneswari is a faculty member at the School of Education, Azim Premji University. She has training and experience in speech-language therapy and developmental psychology. Her areas of work include early intervention, language acquisition & disorders, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD and other neurodiversities. She is involved with the early childhood education programme and anchors the programme on teaching children with learning disabilities, at the School of Education. She also anchors the disability inclusion activities of Azim Premji University.

Hatim holds a Bachelors Degree in Electronics Engineering and is the Network Engineering & Operations (NEO) Head, India and Global IT Service Owner of Cisco Cloud Interconnect (CCI) Service offering at Cisco. As part of Cisco’s Inclusive Communities, he was also the Cisco APJC Co-Lead for Connected Disability Action Network (CDAN), an Employee Resource Organization (ERO). He takes pride in being part of this community with a focus & on advocating assistive technologies, accessible facilities, reasonable accommodations & policies and a focus on creating an inclusive environment for persons with disabilities. In addition to that, he is also a Founder Trustee, Settlor & Board Chairman of Rise Against Hunger India, an International Organization with a Vision of a world without hunger and Focus on Nourishing Lives, Empowering Communities, Responding to Emergencies & Growing the Movement.
